ParksWell Consulting is dedicated to helping park and recreation agencies strengthen their community support networks. We specialize in guiding agencies, community members, and local leaders through the process of forming and sustaining Park Foundations and Friends Groups, creating organizational structures that foster long-term collaborative stewardship. By supporting both agencies and community groups, we help ensure that parks have the friends, funding, and partnerships they need to sustain services and assets for generations to come.

Jonathan is a longtime champion of parks and recreation and understands the critical impact that strong collaboration between park and recreation service agencies and passionate, engaged supporters brings to a community. His career includes roles with City of Eugene Parks & Open Space, overseeing parks resource development and donations and liaisoning with the Eugene Park Foundation to support reorganization and capacity building; Northwest Outward Bound School, leading project management and fundraising efforts for a $8m+ multi-state capital campaign; and University of Oregon Advancement, managing partnership services, stewardship programs, and special projects in the Alumni Association. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism Management from the University of Illinois, is a Certified Parks and Recreation professional (CPRP), and has served the Portland Parks & Recreation Board.
